Gael Huerta:

My name is Gael Huerta. I’m fighting out of the 132 division. I fight out of the arena gym. My original reason for coming to the arena was to lose weight. I went to boxing, and I liked it. Now, I’m fighting.

Erik Huerta:

My name is Erik Huerta. I am fighting at the 119 division. I first joined the arena two years ago when I was 14, and I just wanted to try something new, try a new hobby, gain more, train more, and I’m a fighter.

I train with Ducky and Coach Gordo. They are really good coaches. They help you with anything you need help on. And what I like about the arena is that they push you whether you’re competing or not. You got to just train hard.

Gael Huerta:

I have one fight with USA Boxing. I felt nervous. It’s like lots to take in, the crowd, the yelling, try to listen to your coach, at the same time is fighting. It’s a good experience, and I’m ready for next fight.

Erik Huerta:

I feel like the arena is the right gym to take me to where I want to go because all the coaches, they want you to succeed. There’s a lot of pros here that I really look up to and how determined they are and how hard they work, and I really want to become like one of them.
