Team Arena MMA fighter “The Ghost”Bobby Winther is ready to do it again! Bobby is the current Welterweight California MMA State Champion and the Epic Fighting Champ. I am Bobby Winther. My fight name is The Ghost. I’m an amateur fighter out of the arena. I’m currently 3-0 and currently in the military. I met the coaching staff here at the arena through a military course that they were putting on a couple years ago. Once I took their course, I trained out in town with them, and then I realized that they were such a good team that once I moved out to San Diego that it was no-brainer that this is the place I was going to train.
Coming into the gym, I was a pretty good grappler. That was the strongest part of my game. Definitely not well-rounded when it came to wrestling and striking. As I’ve progressed in the fights, I think my game has progressed as well. Every single fight, I’d get better and better each time, and I’ve got so many people in this gym that push me every day.
My amateur fight career, I’m currently 3-0. I’m the California State champ at welterweight, and I’m the Epic Fighting welterweight champ as well. This Saturday night, January 7th, I’ll be competing in L.A. at the Commerce Casino for a promotion called SparStar MMA. I’ll be defending the California State title and looking to add the SparStar’s welterweight title to my collection. I’ll be selling tickets at the front desk. It’d be great to have everyone’s support if you can make it there. If not, there’s a live stream on SparStar’s website. I’m looking for a finish. Anything less than that is not satisfactory. But bottom line, we’re going to come home with both titles.
