The Arena’s Teammate and Women’s Instructor, Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos, will be defending her Strikeforce Women’s 145 lb. MMA title in San Diego at the Valley View Casino Center (formerly San Diego Sports Arena) on December 17th 2011. Cris will be facing a challenging opponent, Japanese fighter Hiroko Yamanaka (12-1 MMA record), who stands 5’10”.
The Arena is the next door neighbor to the Valley View Casino Center. This close proximity will provide an excellent opportunity for media and fans to meet with Cris the week prior to the event and watch her train at The Arena for her fight. Cris can also be seen teaching Women’s Muay Thai classes at The Arena every Tuesday/Thursday night at 7:30 pm.
